Learning Exchange for Genetic & Environmental Disease Solutions

Legends is a program to inform the public about genetic and environmental factors in disease, and to discuss the social implications of genetic research and genetic testing. The LEGENDS curriculum includes material from environmental health, toxicology, epidemiology, and human genetics. The information on environmental and genetic interactions in disease is presented as case studies. In addition, the project addresses important public policy issues regarding the ethical, legal, and social implications of genetic research and genetic testing.
