The Alliance for Lung
Cancer Advocacy, Support, and Education (ALCASE)
Lung Cancer Alliance is the only
national non-profit organization providing advocacy and support
exclusive to lung cancer patients, survivors, families, caregivers,
and those at risk for the disease. Support programs include the Lung
Cancer Hotline, a toll-free information and referral service; the
Phone Buddy Program, a peer-to-peer support network; online support
community; clinical trials matching service, newsletter; and
specialized lung cancer information/educational materials.

National Cancer Institute
(NCI) and Cancer.gov
Cancer.gov, the National Cancer Institute's
Web site, provides accurate, up-to-date information on many types of cancer,
information on clinical trials, resources for people dealing with cancer,
and information for researchers and health professionals.
The National Cancer Institute (NCI) is a
component of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), one of eight agencies
that compose the Public Health Service (PHS) in the Department of Health and
Human Services (DHHS). The National Cancer Institute coordinates the
National Cancer Program, which conducts and supports research, training,
health information dissemination, and other programs with respect to the
cause, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of cancer, rehabilitation from
cancer, and the continuing care of cancer patients and the families of
cancer patients.
