My laboratory focuses on the olfactory system, with emphasis on toxic responses of the olfactory mucosa, the plasticity of olfactory neurons, and the nose as a route of drug delivery. Techniques include biochemical assays, immunohistochemistry, enzymatic activity, genomics, and genetically-modified mouse models. We are also interested in more general aspects of neurotoxicology and neurodegenerative diseases, including a current project looking at potential therapeutic interventions in a mouse model of Parkinson’s disease.
